When Should You Hire Your Wedding Painter?

If you’re wondering when to book a live wedding painter for your big day, the answer is simple: as early as possible!

There’s no such thing as too soon when it comes to securing your favorite wedding vendors, especially for popular dates. A handful of weekends every year are in high demand, and the best vendors (including live painters) often book out 12 to 18 months in advance. In fact, I’ve had couples reach out over three years ahead—and also just a few weeks before their wedding!

Why Book Early?

Booking early ensures you’ll have your pick of dates, and it gives us time to plan your artwork. Once your date is secured with a deposit, we’ll schedule a discovery call to talk through the painting details, your vision, and any personal touches you’d like included. It’s a relaxed, creative process, and early booking helps keep it that way.

My Booking Process

I book weddings on a first come, first serve basis. That means if multiple couples inquire about the same date, the first one to place a deposit gets it. If you’re considering adding live painting to your wedding, I recommend reaching out soon—even if you’re still finalizing other plans.

Last-Minute Availability

Think you’ve missed your chance? Not necessarily! If your wedding is coming up soon and you have room in your budget, it’s always worth asking. You might just catch an open date, especially for weekday or off-season weddings.

Live wedding painting is one of the most unique and meaningful keepsakes you can include in your celebration. If you're dreaming of having your day captured on canvas, I'd love to chat.
